For me the Barcelona F1-race is more European than the one
in Valencia: the Great Grand Prix of Spain in Valencia.
However, the Valencia GP is named as the Telofonica European GP.( or better Telefonica Grand Prix of Europe)
In my opinion Barcelona is more international(European) town than Valencia and Valencia more
Spanish. Dwellers of Barcelona may disagree. Your opinion matters...
Valencia is an unbelievable beautiful Spanish town. Valencia
GP(European GP) is a must for every F1-fanatic. Good Food close to the warm Mediterranean Sea.
Fantastic place for F1-race. Unfortunately, it's planned that there will be no
more races in Valencia after 2014. Thus all of you who love this great sports of F1, please visit
soon in Valencia GP to experience the great feeling of the true Spain and F1.
Now back to the last race of Barcelona:
Unfortunately, Vitaly did not score any points in Barcelona. The eleventh position
gives no points. The winner takes 25 points. Sebastian Vettel
demonstrated again his skills as the greatest F1-driver at the moment. And the Renault engine of Red Bull
its true horse powers. That is the winning combination at the moment.
The Renault engine is not only the fastest but the most
reliable. All credits to the Renault engineers for a such beauty!
It's worth mentioning that the six time winner of Barcelona race, the Champ of
All time, Michael Schumacher beat his German team mate Nico Rosberg for the first time*. Naturally
the heat is raising while these two team mates compete against each other.
As we saw during the qualifying race now in Monaco, Rosberg made a mistake and as a result of
this the car went off into the barriers.
Der KÖnig s Back! And Nico Rosberg is feeling the pressure as the König is making strong comeback.
Schumi is known the be the coolest guy of F1 even under the extreme pressure.
The legendary Monaco Street Circuit is known to be pretty dangerous. The tunnel part of the circuit
looks very dark. It must be an amazing moment to come out of the tunnel into the intensive Mediterranean
sunshine. From darkness into the lightness at the speed of 300 kilometers per hour. It sounds crazy. Very fast
in the tunnel and then almost at the walking speed around the corners. It's a huge contrast of speed.
The streets of Monaco are very narrow too. Just a minor mistake by a driver and the car is out of the game.
There is no time to watch the sunbathing beauties on the yachts.
Vettel took the pole in Monaco. The weather will be good and the starting grid looks like this
1. Vettel ( First Row)
11. Vitaly Petrov
Here is a great picture of Monaco Street circuit with its famous chicanes:
More on the nasty accident of Perez at the exit of the tunnel:
